Innovative Composite Engineering FZE has over two decades of collective experience in designing, manufacturing and managing advance composite projects. The team has during their careers worked on iconic projects across the Middle East & Europe
Makkah Clock Tower: World’s largest clock on top of world’s second largest building located in Makkah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Team I.C.E. worked with the composite manufacturer for the designing, manufacturing, quality control and the installation of the glass and carbon fibre components. The Clock has aerospace grade components made from PREPEG carbon fibre along with light weight and high strength glass fibre sandwiched panels. The clock has a finishing of glass and ceramic tiles which include Gold and White Gold tiles.
Umbrella Claddings: The Prophet’s Masjid in Al Madinah Al Munawarah in KSA has 250 umbrellas installed in the court yard. The umbrellas are 24m x 24m when opened and together provide a protection from extreme summer heat and rainfall to the worshippers. Team I.C.E. was responsible for the prototyping, series production design, QMS and project management for the project. The scope of the project was to manufacturing of light weight high strength composite cladding that provides an aesthetic cover for the closed umbrellas. The claddings are made of E-glass reinforced epoxy sandwich composite with ceramic and gold tile finishing.
